Richmond Athletic Ground (The RAG) offers a complete solution for editorial and commercial shoots using either our inside rooms, outside space or a combination of both. And of course, no shoot is complete without a good-sized production suite for HMU, stylists and crew, a solid catering facility and a green room. All of these can be found on-site here at The Richmond Athletic Ground.
As well as being shoot space options in their own right, our two large and flexible rooms allow for plenty of space for clothes rails and tables. Both rooms have ground floor, step-free access through double doors, so easy to wheel things in.
On site there is plenty of space for crew parking and the drop-off zones for kit and VIPs are right outside the rooms.
Food and drink-wise, we have standard catering packages or we can provide bespoke options. We also have a fully-stocked bar and curated wine list.
Shooting at The RAG
"I spent a very enjoyable day shooting a charity catalogue and calendar at Richmond Rugby Club. We had stacks to get done in the day, a fairly large crew, and up to 10 people on camera at once. The venue was very spacious, and there was ample parking, which removed some potential production headaches!
The interiors had a very authentic vibe to them, and once the talent were wearing the gear, it was no effort at all to get across the story of "Real" rugby.
The north-facing stand also had great open shade to shoot in, with the rows of benches giving loads of different framing options. There were dozens of shots to get through on the day, and more than a few problems to overcome, but the venue certainly wasn't one of them. At every turn it offered interesting spots to shoot in, and was a big help in making the day run so smoothly!"
